Mr. Bob Barbour
Director and Chief Executive, Centre for Competitiveness, Northern Ireland

Established by the Private Sector, the Centre for Competitiveness (CforC) is an independent, not-for-profit, membership organisation, dedicated to assisting organisations build best in class performance.

The purpose of CforC is to actively support the development of an internationally competitive economy in Northern Ireland through Innovation, Productivity Growth and Quality Excellence in the private, public and voluntary sectors. The Centre has significant capabilities in assisting Innovation, Business Clustering, Quality Management and Technology Transfer & Foresight.

Prior to joining CforC, Bob spent 23 years as a Senior Corporate Executive holding leadership positions in hi-technology industries in Australia, the Middle East, Europe and the USA. Before returning to Northern Ireland, he held the position of World-Wide Manufacturing Manager in electronic storage products with Digital Equipment. Bob is a graduate in Business Management with additional qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
