DAME GERALDINE KEEGAN DBE

Representing the Centre for Competitiveness, Northern Ireland Dame Geraldine was principal of St. Mary's College, Derry for 19 years until 2006. During her career, she has worked as a senior lecturer in Teacher Training and as Deputy Director of the Northern Ireland Centre for Education Management.

As well as working in the field of education, she holds membership of a number of public and professional bodies, including Northern Ireland representative on the U.K. Board of Investors in People.
Due to the success of the school, she is a frequent speaker at conferences worldwide.

Major personal and business achievements;

Winner EQA Public Sector Award 2001.
Winner of Northern Ireland Quality Award Public Sector Prize on two occasions.
Commendation in the 1999 Business Excellence Awards.
Winner 2000 UK Business Excellence Award, Public Service Category.
Millennium Excellence Award for the UK (for people development).
Winner 2001 TNT Modernising Government Partnership Awards.
Investors in People Northern Ireland Innovation Award Charter Mark, five times recipient.
Investor in People Champion 2004.
