In
her early career she worked in industry in the
Quality and Environmental field, and moved to a
consultant
/training role with Training and Development Ltd
in 1992. In 1998 Marie joined EIQA as Technical Manager
to support the introduction of the EFQM Excellence
Model in Ireland and during her time there developed
and launched many new recognition and award programmes
to recognize excellence. She was instrumental in
the development and introduction of Business Excellence
recognition programmes in Ireland.
She
now works as an independent technical consultant,
and continues
to provide technical development support
to EIQA. She is a licensed facilitator/trainer
and assessor with EIQA and the Northern Ireland
Centre
for Competitiveness. She is also a qualified assessor
at European level for the EFQM Excellence Model
and related programmes.
She
has worked with Failte Ireland for a number of
years, on the development
of recognition models
upon
which the Optimus Programme is based and steered
the review of the criteria on which the Ireland’s
Best award is based, and has designed the assessment
and scoring approach for the assessor team.
Marie
has been involved with many organisations over
the years - including Friends First, VHI
Healthcare, Merck, Sharp and Dohme, the National
Disability
Authority,
BUPA Ireland Ltd., Rehab Group.
