A series of developmental workshops are provided as part of the Best Practice programme. The first of these, the Introduction Workshop, concentrates on Section 1 of the programme (Management Systems) and involves the entire management team. The focus of this workshop is on providing an overview of the programme, the implementation and assessment processes and an introduction to effective management systems. It also highlights the importance of commitment, teamwork, planning and the allocation of responsibility for the different elements of the programme.

An Operational Activities Workshop follows and focuses on Section 2 of the programme (Operational Activities). It addresses the areas of, among others, purchasing, facilities, the environment and people performance.

The third workshop, Operational Standards, deals with section 3 of the programme, with an emphasis on developing standards, assessing these standards and taking corrective action.

These workshops are backed up with on-site support, provided by Fáilte Ireland approved mentors, experienced in the areas of hospitality and quality.
